1. MARC PAPERS
I guess picking myself as my own favorite rapper also shows my narcissism but that’s how I feel. I listen to Marc Papers the most out of every other rapper. I’ve also literally heard everything this rapper has recorded so this wasn’t a hard pick for me at all.
With that said this nigga has bars for days. I like his word play and the versatility he shows. Still to this day there’s metaphors in an era where lyrics don’t really speak for much. To me that says a lot about how much lyricism actually means to Marc.

2. NOTORIOUS BIG
Only two studio albums while he was alive and still I have yet to hear anyone rap better than this guy. He can make hits easy, he can tell a story, he has bars, and gives you quality lines bar after bar.
[favorite song] “KICK IN THE DOOR”
HOVA DA GOD
What can I say about Jay-Z that hasn’t been said. I been hooked to Hov’s music ever since my cousin borrowed the cassette to reasonable doubt so he could dub it. I was too young to understand what he was saying but the beats he was rhyming on was nothing like I ever heard before.
One of my favorite things that Jay does is when he uses the double entendre. Basically when he’s rhyming about two things at once.

4. RICK ROSS
When I first heard Rozay it was on hustlin’ and that was it for me. I usually don’t buy albums unless you give me more creditability. So when I was watching the come up DVD I think it was, he said he put a lot hot songs of the album so I had to get it. My man was right because when I heard that song White House I knew this dude can make a hot song repeatedly.
Rozay still making hot music and ten years in im still feeling his stuff.

5. KANYE WEST
We all know Yeezus likes to run his mouth but fact still remains this guy knows how to make a hot song even this late in his career. He don’t have the best bars but the way he puts together a song makes him one of the best. The way he released those 5 projects for his squad including two albums for himself shows his worth ethic as a musician. I really respect that.
